Trump’s Tweets & Speech Did not Incite Insurrection! (Or Resurrection)

Last updated on January 3, 2023

These actual quotes by President Donald Trump are my primary sources for what Trump did or said before the January 6 uprising. They clearly show that he never incited. No inciting, just exciting!

So let’s get crackin’! (krakan!?)

Trump Impeachment Odds

Nancy Pelosi fired the first shot, in her speech of January 13, accusing President Trump (while not actually naming him!) of inciting an insurrection. Her goal: impeach the President! Even if he’s not in office!

Her charge is vindictive and ludicrous, without a shred of proof. I hate liars, so I researched all of the Presidents tweets since he first announced the protest on December 18, and analyzed his January 6 speech. Hopefully others will find this resource just as persuasive. :)

Because Trump didn’t DO anything, nor SAY anything inciting, his odds of winning this impeachment charge = 100%!

All the Trump tweets about the Save America Rally

trump tweets about DC party

In Trump’s typical amusing fashion, he writes this very first post about the rally on December 18, 2020, like a teen inviting everyone to a party. Be there, or be square. ;) (If you don’t follow Twitter, the blue warning here by Twitter, This claim about election fraud is disputed,  is your chance to see the damning way Twitter suppresses, deletes, and controls content. Even from our own President!)

trump tweets with one fingerThe announcement of a protest was just an add-on sentence below a report. No inciting.

Trump wrote over 350 tweets during this period, but the 19 here  are the only ones concerning the Jan 6 protest. (Note: every single one of his tweets for over 4 years is documented here. This is an automated program.)

Wouldn’t you agree? No inciting, just exciting! No impeachment!

Trump was permanently banned from Twitter on January 8

Immediately, Twitter stock dropped like a rock.

The tweet about Trump dissing Biden’s inaugural ball was the last straw for Twitter! They hate rudeness!

Trump wrote over 56,000 tweets during his term, and they make very interesting, funny reading. Highly recommend if you really want to understand the man, or just appreciate the wit we lost. The automated dataset  is here.

President Trump requested a rally in Washington DC. That’s in the First Amendment: to assemble peacefully to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. We were all hoping that Trump would reveal a winning strategy, something positive to celebrate, but…no.

Trump’s speech was insightful, but did not incite

Trump leaning on podium in freezing wind Jan 6Here are all the pertinent excerpts from Trump’s January 6 speech. I recommend reading the whole speech here. ( my comments are in italic):

“We have hundreds of thousands of people here and I just want them to be recognized by the fake news media. Turn your cameras please and show what’s really happening out here because these people are not going to take it any longer. (No one turned the cameras. My heart sank, right then. Couldn’t you do one favor for your President?)

It’s just a great honor to have this kind of crowd and to be before you and hundreds of thousands of American patriots who are committed to the honesty of our elections and the integrity of our glorious republic.

Many of you have traveled from all across the nation to be here, and I want to thank you for the extraordinary love. That’s what it is. There’s never been a movement like this, ever, ever. For the extraordinary love for this amazing country, and this amazing movement, thank you.

We’re gathered together in the heart of our nation’s capital for one very, very basic and simple reason: To save our democracy.

And they try and demean everybody having to do with us. And you’re the real people, you’re the people that built this nation. You’re not the people that tore down our nation.

Republicans are, Republicans are constantly fighting like a boxer with his hands tied behind his back. It’s like a boxer. And we want to be so nice. We want to be so respectful of everybody, including bad people. And we’re going to have to fight much harder.

Now, it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy. And after this, we’re going to walk down, and I’ll be there with you, we’re going to walk down, we’re going to walk down.

Anyone you want, but I think right here, we’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women, and we’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them.

Because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong. We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated.

I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. (This was way before the break-in at the Capitol, over a mile away. There was no violence or unrest at this point.)

Well, I’m going to read you pages. I hope you don’t get bored listening to it. Promise? Don’t get bored listening to it, all those hundreds of thousands of people back there.

[At this point, Trump did read all the boring parts. He listed all the fraud found in the swing states and more. But he also included some fun gossip about other WH officials, and explained how he tried to make the $2000 stimulus happen, but was shot down, and showed how the media is destroying our democracy. Now, back to what he told the crowd.]

We must stop the steal and then we must ensure that such outrageous election fraud never happens again, can never be allowed to happen again.

As this enormous crowd shows, we have truth and justice on our side. We have a deep and enduring love for America in our hearts. We love our country.

And again, most people would stand there at 9 o’clock in the evening and say I want to thank you very much, and they go off to some other life. But I said something’s wrong here, something is really wrong, can have happened. (Talking about the Georgia election the night before.) And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.

Our exciting adventures and boldest endeavors have not yet begun. My fellow Americans, for our movement, for our children, and for our beloved country.

And I say this despite all that’s happened. The best is yet to come.

So we’re going to, we’re going to walk down Pennsylvania Avenue. I love Pennsylvania Avenue. And we’re going to the Capitol, and we’re going to try and give our Republicans, the weak ones, because the strong ones don’t need any of our help, we’re going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country.

So let’s walk down Pennsylvania Avenue.

I want to thank you all.

God bless you and God Bless America.”

Word salad, anyone?

President Trump’s words speak for themselves, and I feel like nothing I say can be as powerful! No inciting, just exciting! Trump is truly charismatic and inspirational. Not inciting. The odds of President Trump squashing the impeachment charge are 100%.

But I did read one mainstream media “analyst” point out that this speech uses the word fight too many times. Talk about insightful! /sarcastic

So I’m up for a game of word salad. Here are some random words:

  • fight — 20 times
  • love — 18 times
  • nice — 2 times
  • kind — 2 times
  • give — 16 times
  • cheer — 1 time
  • good — 10 times
  • thank — 20 times
